‘Hitting Ground’ teaser – True Blood Season 3

Why do I watch True Blood? Much of the Southern-fried acting is atrocious and a far cry from authentic. (I’m looking at you, Bill and Sookie.) Special effects are hit or miss. The writing is corny, though somewhat unpredictable. But I’ll be damned if I’m not lapping it up like the drink itself every time HBO airs an episode. With teasers like the one presented here, it’s no wonder.

Now I’ll confess, I usually like to wait till the end of a season and then marathon these suckers via HBO On Demand, but I haven’t been able to stop myself this season. Series creator Alan Ball made the wise decision early on to take his incarnation of Sookie Stackhouse in a different direction than the series of novels by Arkansas’ own Charlaine Harris. And now it looks like we may be saying farewell to Sookie (Anna Paquin) altogether. I am intrigued. Fire up the popcorn; I know where I’ll be Sunday night!
