The 82nd Academy Awards were hosted by Steve Martin and actor Alec Baldwin and took place at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center last night. Before I passed out I was able to follow women of the pre-show (bringing you some Amanda Seyfried news). The night was owned by Kathryn Bigelow and Hurt Locker, as Bigelow became the first female director to win an Oscar for Best Director, while her film went on to also win top honors (among other awards).

Wow, these are surprisingly unoffensive picks to me. I didn’t love hurt locker but I liked it a helluva lot more than avatar. I still think D-9 was the best of their shortlist, and Moon the best of the year, but…

Saw Crazy Heart on Friday, and Jeff Bridges absolutely deserved his win. And I’m rednecking out to the soundtrack, and that theme song is greatness, too. :)
