United Plates of America on NBC

This is just one damn cool idea, that looks like it also needs a huge money investment. NBC has ordered a culinary series that has a prize that seems almost unreal. NBC has green-lighted the program that comes from the Top Chef production company Magical Elves.
So this show is a bit like Shark Tank as you have a group of want to be restaurant owners trying to get some wealthy investors to buy into their idea. Challenges on the show will test things like the restaurant concept, menu, marketability and the ability of the contestant to be able to manage staff. The winner of the show will receive a restaurant chain that opens in four locations in various U.S. cities on the night of the show’s finale. No word on premiere date or show panelists just yet.
I hope I am not the only one that thinks this is an awesome idea and that one of the chains opens up close to me. For all the new places to eat that crop up and fail, this seems like it is a good way to get some backing and publicity. NBC, you already have one viewer signed up.
