According to THR, Uma Thurman has been cast to start opposite of Twilight Star Robert Pattinson in the film adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s Bel Ami. Earlier this month it was reported that it would be Nicole Kidman filling this role, a notion later denied by Kidman’s agent.
According to the report, Thurman will play a woman “who is extremely involved and connected in the goings-on of Parisian society”. She helps Duroy (Pattinson) in his ascent, later becoming his wife.” The role is unnamed, but I’m going to assume it is (if going by the story) the role of Madeleine Forestier.

LUCKY UMA WISH IT WAS ME
That’s a strange match-up considering he’s 15 years younger than her.
