The week after the second film,New Moon, hits theaters, before the third is out, and the fourth not even greenlit, FX has secured the rights to televise all four film adaptations of Stephenie Meyer’s novels starting in 2011. The Franchise is at an all time high soaring to an over $140+ million dollar weekend (see the BSC review).
According to THR, Twilight will roll out on FX in 2011, New Moon in 2012, Eclipse in 2013, and the fourth would be pending on the move going into production, though Robert Pattinson (and wallets) seems somewhat convinced it will. The next film release, Eclipse, is directed by David Slade and is set for a June 2010 release. it includes new casting additions in Kirsten Prout, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Jack Huston, and Jodelle Ferland. Thus far, we’ve seen the poster (and the title treatment), an image of Xavier Samuel as ‘Riley”, and images of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
