The Sing-Off on NBC

The Sing-Offis a new show that NBC has confirmed will be starting as a four-night event on Monday, December 14th with a two hour episode.  It will then continue with two hour episodes on Tuesday, the 15th, and Wednesday, the 16th.  The two hour finale will air on NBC on Monday, December 21st.  The show follows eight a cappella groups as they preform for a chance at a recording contract with Sony Music’s Epic label.

 Things I like: 
-  That it is just an investment of 4 shows, call me crazy but I think American Idol is just on too darn much when the season starts.
-  A Cappella is pretty darn cool, while I might get sick of it week after week, this is just 4 shows so I think I will end up really enjoying it.

Things I dont like:
- 2 hours each show is a bit long for me and I am sure it will have a bunch of unneeded filler.
- seems like it is too close to holidays for something like this

Anyway I will give it a shot for the first episode and see what happens.  What are your thoughts?
