0071171985130_215X215Sony Computer Entertainment Europe yesterday (they must have been working on our Thanksgiving) announced a preliminary list of the comic publishing houses that have signed up for the digital comic service for the PSP.  You are going to be surprised at who they did not announce yet.

So the notables that were announced so far include:

  • 2000AD– Featuring Judge Dredd, Durham Red…
  • Disney– Follow the adventures of Mickey Mouse, Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck….
  • IDW– Astro Boy, Transformers, Star Trek, Wormwood…
  • Insomnia – Burke & Hare, Cages, Cancer Town… Insomnia and Geek Syndicate are also running a competition.
  • iVerse– Who bring us content from Ape Entertainment, Archie Comics, Dabel Brothers, Image & Red 5.
  • Marvel – Astonishing X-Men, Captain America, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, The Amazing Spider-Man
  • Titan– Wallace & Gromit
  • They say they will announce some more great publishers soon, but where is DC?  Seriously, you would think that if they had DC locked up it would be on that list and since the service will be launching in mid December this could be some bad news.  Also as Kotaku reports isn’t Sony making a damn game with DC Comics?  Hopeful this is nothing more than lack of information.
