Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio – Law & Order: Criminal Intent

Law and Order: CI’s Captain Danny Ross has a replacement and comes in the form of Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio when the ninth season debuts on USA in March of next year. I don’t follow the show, but the upheaval has stirred up some strong opinions by BSC readers.
Mastrantonio is the new captain but has as of yet been given no name. She is (reportedly) the first female to assume the role on the show. People my age know Mastrantonio from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, The Abyss–not to mention as Gina Montana in Scarface. More recently she was a recurring character on CBS’ Without a Trace from 2005-2006.
