Jennifer Beals in The Night Before the Night Before Christmas

Jennifer Beals, who is currently playing Cal’s wife on Lie to Me, will be starring in a Hallmark Channel Original Movie, The Night Before the Night Before Christmas. What is up with the rush on announcing Christmas movies before we have even eaten any turkey?

This one does not look like it will be coming until next year though, but production has already begun shooting in Toronto. The show will be about what happens with Santa Claus leaves the North Pole a tad early and crash lands on a family’s roof. I am all for holiday movies, but they have to be good. I am currently on the fence about this concept, but who knows, maybe it will be funny. Having Beals lends a star to the show so at least they are trying to put a little bit of budget and publicity into it.

I think as an actress, she did an excellent consideration when she received a new movie role.
To show how her ability as an actress in roles varied.
She had to break the image of lovely lesbian.
