Dollhouse Cancelled
News, Television | Jay Tomio | November 11, 2009 at 4:12 pm
Both THR and EW are reporting that Dollhouse has been canceled. Last month we noted that Fox pulled the Eliza Dushku starring show from the November sweeps schedule, and planned told us the show would return in December.
Dollhouse has suffered from some rather abysmal ratings, though had the typical (I’m one of them, but can’t speak on Dollhouse specifically–second season doesn’t come on here) loyal Whedon fanbase and optimistic DVR figures. THR didn’t not know whether the remaining season will be aired (which includes the Summer Glau appearance–see promo photos), but EW reports Fox will be doing so.
Whedon fans do have an episode of Glee.

I love me some Eliza Dushku, but that show was unwatchable.
I knew it was inevitable but it still disappoints me. Near the end of S1 they started finally building a mythology. S2 has further expanded that. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.
Damn, i love the show… But I knew that’s going to happen lol Bad week: 1st Eastwick and now Dollhouse. Is there anything else i watch that’s going to get axed?
My best friend and I were just talking about how having Summer Glau on a Fox program could be considered the kiss of death, and here we are.
You know I keep watching this show for some reason, but I have to say I am kinda happy that I do not have to watch anymore. That sounds crazy, but I am sure some of you know what I mean. The show was just ok, but I kept watching because I felt like I should
Fox renewed the show for a second season out of sympathy, and to make up for cancelling Firefly. Honeymoon’s over.
The acting was pretty good, but as a premise it was nasty, and the show suffered from sloppy writing and ill-thought world-building.
Shame for the cast, the writers on the other hand are getting what they deserved.
