Rachael Harris and Alan Ruck to Cougar Town

Rachael Harris (In the Motherhood) will be pouncing on Cougar Town to play the role of Shanna, the rival to Courteney Cox’s character of Jules. Alan Ruck, currently in FlashForward, will be playing Shanna’s husband.
Cougar Town, which has been picked up for a full season, has not been the most engaging new show of the season for me. My wife has already given up on it, but I find it to be intriguing enough, and that keeps me still watching. That and the fact that I really like Dan Byrd as an actor since I saw him in Aliens in America. Get rid of the player guy across the street and focus more on the balancing act that Jules has to do and we may have something. Or maybe Rachael and Alan bringing a rivalry to the table will spice up this show a bit.
