Megan Fox and Comics in May! – ‘Jonah Hex: No Way Back’

I saw this earlier, but better late than never. It’s only right that DC should be putting Jonah Hex product in unison with the film starring Josh Brolin and Megan Fox. (it has caused All-Star Western#10 to heat up!). News out of Baltimore (via the Source) is that the current writing team of Jonah Hex, Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti, will be writing an OGN called Jonah Hex: No Way Back.

Jonah Hex has a brother,” revealed Gray. “That’s the idea that came up decades earlier in discussions between writer John Albano and Tony DeZuniga. Tony casually mentioned this to us and that idea has been brought to life in the hardcover. Bold, brazen violent and surprisingly tender, this is the consummate tale of the Wild West’s greatest bounty hunter.”

Fox aside, the news here for me is that Tony Dezuniga will be penciling the project, and if you are familiar with Hex or Weird Western Tales in general, you know you’re in for a treat. I’ve talked about Gray and Palmiotti before, and if you want to try them out check out IDW’s Last Resort (I reviewed the first issue here–more to come later, and it showed up on Tomio’s Want List.)

Regarding the film, it stars the aforementioned Brolin & Fox, along with John Malkovich and Will Arnett. We’ve noted the poster, Fox talking about her character, and images of Fox on-set.

No Way Back should be released in May 2010 to coincide with the film and be 136 pages long.
