This is not a bad crop of talent to have to move to and away from (in either direction). THR’s Risky Biz is reporting that Theron has removed herself from the remake of the 2005 French film Anthony Zimmer. Angelina Jolie’s name has been thrown out as possible replacement. All this is interesting, as the film apparentlyy doesn’t even have a director for a film that’s production has been scheduled to begin in early 2010.

Theron has recently been announced to be rejoining Will Smith for a Hancock sequel (directed by Peter Berg). Whomever replaces Theron, they will be joining Sam Worthington (Avatar, Clash of the Titans, Terminator Salvation). The French film starred Sophie Marceau in the role, who you may have remembered from Braveheart or the crazy girl from the Bond film, The World is Not Enough.

Since Sophie Marceau has already made the french version of this movie wouldn’t it be wise to have her in the american version as well? She is a talented actress and a beautiful woman who could play the part better than Angelina Jolie.
