Adrien Brody in Predators

I’ve been following Predators casting, but so far everything seems to have been kind skirmish-casting and now we finally get to some news of somebody who could headline the film. Adrien Brody is a bad ass, and the cast gives me some faith in the film beyond that it’s Predator and I would have gone and seen it regardless.
According to THR, Brody “is a man who ends up inheriting the mantle of leader and is known as a hunter of men.” I’m a big fan of Brody – check him in The Pianist, Hollywoodland, and Brothers Bloom. You may not have liked The Jacket, but Brody was hardcore in it.
Already cast were Danny Trejo, Alice Braga, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, Walt Goggins, and Oleg Taktarov. Back in July we reported that Robert Rodriguez named Nimrod Antal as his director for the film. Filming begins later this year and has a Summer 2010 date attached for release.

OK, if Shia LaBeouf can go up against giant robots, then just about anything is possible in Hollywood.
I’ll save my judgment until after I see the movie.
