TV casting – Stephen Root in ‘24′, Carlos Bernard in ‘Burn Notice’
News, Television | Jay Tomio | September 24, 2009 at 3:08 amA couple of casting bits for some upcoming episodes on popular shows as Fox’s 24 and USA’s Burn Notice announces that Stephen Root and Carlos Bernard will be appearing in upcoming seasons of the respective shows.

Stephen Root has been in a quite a few quality projects, particularly Cohen Brother features like O Brother, Where Art Thou? and No Country For Old Men, not to mention appearing in Pushing Dasies, True Blood, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Seinfeld. THR is reporting that his role in 24 is a multiepisode arc, and he will play “Ben Prady, an officer of the Department of Corrections looking into a parolee gone missing”. This adds to the recently announced trio that will appear in the next season. 24 returns 8 months after last season, & season begins and ends at 4:00 PM. We also previously reported that BSC-approved Katee Sackhoff will be appearing on the show next season when it returns in January of next year.
Carlos Bernard (who coincidentally was in 24) will be appearing in USA’s Burn Notice when the show returns for its third season in January. According to the network he will play a doctor-turned-kidnapper who becomes drawn to Fiona. Bernard is perhaps best known for hos role as Tony Almeida in 24.
