The Three Musketeers in 3D

Paul WS Anderson who is know for the Alien vs Predator and Resident Evil series will be bringing the classic The Three Musketeers to the movie screen in 3-D. Paul also worked with Andrew Davies in putting together the script as they were friends since their days as the University of Warwick.
Anderson hopes to shoot in France and Germany and bring a modern feel to The Three Musketeers without losing any of the fun that the group brings. The plan is for a release in 2011. Paul will be producing with partner Jeremy Bolt and Robert Kulzer.
Many people have done a take on the Musketeers and it will be interesting what sort of twist is put into it. The 3-D angle, not so exciting cause until the 3-d is like some Virtual Reality thing, it is gimmick to me. I would like a film that was like a Pirates of the Caribbean type action adventure with only a splash of romance.
