Being a huge Dallas Cowboys fan as well as understanding that Herschel Walker is like the epitome of an in shape person I figured I should pass this news on. Walker, who is 47 years old, has signed a multi-fight contract with Strikeforce. Walker is not new to the martial arts and already holds a fifth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do along with his multiple football achievements.
Strikeforce found and CEO, Scott Coker has already stated he was surprised to see his wrestling and striking abilities and that he will be someone to watch progress. I think it is a great idea for someone who has such a huge competitive drive and is still a physical specimen to try out such a grueling sport as MMA. Herschel has that do not quit attitude and it will interesting to see him use that in this sport where that is the norm. Need we say Bobsled Team and the fact he also won back to back American Superstars competitions in 1987 and 1988.
Herschel starts a 12-week training camp that starts next month in San Jose with the American Kickboxing Academy.
