In July, we reported Emily Blunt joining Matt Damon to co-star in The Adjustment Bureau, yet another film based on the work by the legendary Philip K. Dick. Now, Anthony Mackie has joined the cast.

Mackie has most recently been in the Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker (really want to see that!). He also portrayed Tupac Shakur in the biopic Notorious. He’s also had some roles in some films like Half Nelson, and 8-Mile (Papa Doc). I’m sure the Estate wouldn’t agree with me, but sometimes I feel it’s a bit of a shame that a lot of PKD’s stuff isn’t available online.

Based on the Philip K. Dick short story Adjustment Team, The Adjustment Bureau will be produced, directed and adapted by George Nolfi, who wrote Ocean’s Twelve, Timeline and The Sentinel (admittedly, none of which inspires a hell of a lot of confidence).

The Adjustment Bureau begins filming in September.
