G.I. Joe The Invasion of Cobra Island

Just got an email from Paramount for G.I. Joe The Invasion of Cobra Island which they are billing as Half Action, Half Figure, ALL JOE!   What happens on Cobra Island?  Knowing is half the battle in this two part action adventure.

Haha I just watched this and it is awesome, we have pretty much an extended 1980s commercial, but with no kids involved to move around the figures and vehicles.  What I just love is how they actually get the figures mouths to move instead of just showing a static face picture of the figure.  The sound effects are on point, and this thing is just so cool and yet at the same time really funny as a satire type piece.  The muzzle smoke from the guns while they are firing, haha. Awesome.  The Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow battle is the best part of it I think.  Anyway Ill stop talking and let you check it out.

We have both Part 1 and Part 2 below (both in the same window, click the part below the menu).  Check them out and then feel all nostalgic for the figures and vehicles that your parents either threw away or sold at a garage sale for a dime.

For a picture just so you know what you are getting into check this out

This is quite amusing, but I have to admit—as a very old guy who grew up with the correct and good Joe figures—ever since the idiot early 80’s rebranding which brought us the vapid Cobra and shrunk the figures to their fuzzless, rigor mortis state, G.I. Joe has been dead to me.

I have to agree with Jay here. I was an 80s kid.

Those stiff-limbed shorties are an abomination. An abomination, I say!
