Brandon Routh to appear on NBC’s Chuck
News, Television | Jay Tomio | August 27, 2009 at 3:36 pmI love me some damn Chuck, and one of the show’s strengths is that it always been able to choose and implement smart and fun guest appearances. According to EW it looks like the latest Man of Steel, Brandon Routh, is set to visit the show next season for multiple episodes.
Routh will reportedly be playing the role of “Shaw”, a character described by EW as:
a mysterious new spy who takes control as the new leader of Operation Bartwoski, becoming a mentor to Chuck and a rival in his affections for Sarah.
He is scheduled to first appear in the fourth episode of the upcoming season, one that seems to still be far off. I like Brandon Routh and I don’t think (for those who disliked that film–and I’m actually not one) he is the reason why Superman Returns might have failed.

Back in June, we also reported that Mini Arden would be back for the next season.
