Your Highness, Zooey Deschanel

THR is reporting that Zooey Deschanel joins James Franco and Natalie Portman in Your Highness. It’s written by Ben Best and Danny McBride and is a medieval/fantasy comedy.

We’ve seen Deschanel in fantasy before , and while Tin Man had its flaws, it wasn’t her, who I found appropriate for the role and rather naturally likable in the way that character needed to be. Your Highness got some initial fanmen buzz due to the Portman cast as a a warrior princess.

I’m kind of feeling the addition of Deschanel.

Synopsis:

A fantasy movie about an arrogant, lazy prince and his more heroic brother who must complete a quest in order to save their father’s kingdom.

McBride, Franco, and director David Gordon Green are back together from Pineapple Express. Your Highness begins filming this month.
