Over at his blog Tom Piccirilli recently unveiled more details of an upcoming project. He’s going to be doing a Punisher comic.

Punisher #25 will be an oversized issue featuring four stories that touch on the day in Central Park when Frank Castle’s family was murdered. In addition to Pic some of the other writers will be Charlie Huston and Gregg Hurwitz.

Piccirilli’s 10 page story will be called Dolls. He offers up this synopsis/teaser:

“Dolls” opens as Frank is about to take a sniper shot at a mobster when a little lost girl asks him to help her find her father. It’s her birthday soon and she asks if he’ll buy her a present. He buys her a doll that–ding ding–reminds him of his own dead daughter. Frank only has a certain amount of time to take out his target and is torn between helping the girl and leaving her and getting back to killing the guy.”

Laurence Campbell will be doing the art.

From mage’s attempting to resurrect Jesus to start the Armegeddon early to conjoined triplets that share a brain; from nuthouses unlike any other to a thief and his family Tom Piccirilli has one of the fiercest imaginations running right now and the game to back it up.

Horror, fantasy, crime and all genre’s in between (including some that defy genre boundaries) whatever Tom Piccirilli writes is worth your time and I’m sure that his foray into comics will feature great characters, writing and action as well as quiet moments, raw emotions and the whole thing will probably hit you hard.

Kinda like this.

So yeah, you could say I’m looking forward to it.
