Michael Connelly’s The Scarecrow is in stores today. To help promote it Connelly wrote a three part short film which is presented below along with a couple of extras.

Michael Connelly has always tried to give his readers bonus material with each new novel. Short stories, lost chapters, and visual adaptations. This time we have something new. A short film called “Conflict of Interest,” which features the exploits of FBI Agent Rachel Walling leading up to the point she enters the story of THE SCARECROW. Don’t worry, there are no spoilers here. The story runs parallel to THE SCARECROW. The case Rachel is working comes very close to the story Jack McEvoy is chasing. Written by Michael Connelly, the film will be available in three parts. THE SCARECROW is published in the USA and Canada.

On location in the Nevada desert, Michael Connelly discusses his new thriller, THE SCARECROW.

Reporter Jack McEvoy thought the killer named the Poet was the last word in evil. Think again, Jack. Bestselling author Michael Connelly brings back the hero of THE POET in a terrifying new thriller called THE SCARECROW from Little, Brown and Company.

(Oh, and Rachel Walling comes along for the ride this time out as well.)

Bestselling author Michael Connelly reads from his new book The Scarecrow at a sell-out event held at Waterstone’s Piccadilly, London on 13th May, 2009.
