ABC picks up Flash Forward

We’ve talked about Flash Forward here and here regarding the teaser images that were shown during an episode of Lost (go check those out), and now ABC has picked up 13-episodes.

According to THR this is co-written and directed by David Goyer ( wrote Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Dark City*) and stars Joseph Fiennes. It’s produced by Marc Guggenheim (Eli Stone – not a bad comic writer either).

Synopsis:

In pursuit of an elusive nuclear particle, an experiment goes awry, throwing the consciousness of the entire human race ahead by 20 years. As the implications hit home, the pressure to repeat the experiment builds. Everyone wants a glimpse of their future.

The show is based on the Robert J. Sawyer novel (below) and has a cast that also includes Sonya Walger, John Cho, Jack Davenport, Brian O’Byrne, Courtney B. Vance, Christine Woods, Zachary Knighton and Peyton List.
